WANJIE LI

Wanjie Li is an emerging Singaporean portrait, fashion, and music photographer. He is currently still in high school, at only 18 years old, and started photography back in 2014, working to develop a distinctly soft and ephemeral aesthetic brand for himself. Li is also an avid advocate for diversifying the fashion photography scene.

Wanjie Li describes his own work with a simple term: "casual heartbreak". With every picture, he aims to fill each frame full of emotion and vulnerability. Nostalgic, yet modern. Classy, yet casual. Soft, yet powerful. Li's work is easily identifiable by how each image makes you feel.
Li's young age is reflected in his work's themes, yet one would never immediately think that his pictures were ones by a high school student. It is mature with a facade of naivety. The phrase "casual heartbreak" is an all embodying term for his work and provides a unique and fresh new viewpoint into the modern relationship.

Wanjie Li has amazing pieces that fit seamlessly into our portrait gallery both by color schemes and the palpable human emotion that is conveyed through every portrait. The ethereal and dreamlike colors in combination with concept bring his work from average to almost otherworldly.
